The band has been growing in strength for a lot of
years now – years filled with hard effort and
enthusiasm and, indeed, some friends and colleagues,
with whom we have shared so many valuable
experiences, have diverged along the way.
Our story began when four friends decided to meet up
to form a traditional music band and our idea was to
play at traditional street gatherings such as “romerias”,
“pasacalles” and “dianas”. Our only aim was to enjoy
the music and pass the while.
As the time passed, and not without overcoming
certain difficulties, more musicians joined our
humble project and so the small folk which became
known as “Reńuberu” came about. For years we
travelled around most of the province, untiringly
doing gigs here and there. However, Providence would
have it that at the end of this initial stage, we
had to take our work right back to the beginning and,
after taking a balanced look at the years gone by,
we decided to focus our work in a new way and
redirect the nature of our music at its very roots.
And so “Pandetrave” was born and, at the end of its
first year of existence, the first C.D. “En las
arcas” appeared.
